I am Michelle Richardson - I have been with Printfine for 11 years.

I am passionate about all areas of design and after school spent 5 years at art college and Nottingham University studying design. I loved the courses - they were both very hands on, and taught me a lot about the need to be realistic about cost in the design and production process.

Soon afterwards I joined a small-scale printers in the North-West - when you´re in a small company you have to be flexible and be able to turn your hand to what needs doing. I learnt a lot about the business - interfacing with customers - advising customers about the job - seeing jobs through production and finishing to delivery and on to a hopefully happy customer!

My experiences from Uni and that small printers have proved an excellent platform for my role in Printfine Ltd. When I first started I worked for a couple of years in the repro department. I then helped set up an offshoot company called KoolKards and that in itself was a huge experience.

I moved into sales five years ago. It is a tough role at times but also very satisfying - I understand that our customers want an excellent job and at an affordable price and when I manage to achieve that it I get a great sense of satisfaction. I bring a lot of technical background to the role so I can advise customers on their options whilst understanding the production aspects of the job.

Looking forward, I am working hard to deliver to our current customers and to show new business what we can do at Printfine - we are a well established business that is here for the long term - our plans are to grow and I want to be a part of that in a vibrant and thriving North West.
